With roots back to 1995, and established as a non-profit in 2001, Seattle Glee Clubs is a community of individuals who share a passion for producing and sharing music. Our organization is grounded in a deep respect and love for the value of every human being. We believe that music has the power to unify. We raise up our collective voices to inspire joy, beauty and hope.
Seattle Glee Clubs comprises the Seattle Metropolitan Singers and the Offbeats. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize this is an evolving process. It requires intention and attention to member recruitment, musical selections, and audience outreach.

BOARD MEMBERS
Ilana Guttmann
When she isn’t singing with the Seattle Metropolitan Singers, Ilana can be found kayaking, backpacking, and foraging. She, her husband, and their two nearly adult offspring spend their summers in Gustavus, Alaska, where they own a small sea kayak expedition company. Ilana enjoys her day job is as Director of Learning and Development for a consulting firm, which is fun, but not as fun as singing.
Ilana serves as the President of the Seattle Glee Clubs board.
Fran Migliaccio
A member of the Seattle Metropolitan Singers, Fran has also been elected Vice President of the Board. Fran has a background of writing, work on non-profit boards, and singing. She has been a published poet, technical writer/supervisor for an engineering corporation, and free-lance journalist. She served on government and non-profit boards during her years of living on Block Island, Rhode Island: the Town Council and the Block Island Land Trust, as well as non-profit Boards of Directors ranging from conservation to oversight of Block Island's Medical Center, library, and Chamber of Commerce. Fran has been a member of choirs, chorales, and ensembles all of her life. She looks forward to singing again with the Seattle Mets and charting, during this the post-COVID era, new methods of, and venues for, supporting and presenting music to audiences in the months ahead.
Brenda Stuvek
Brenda has been singing with Seattle Glee Clubs since before they were Seattle Glee Clubs. Seriously!
She joined the Greenwood Women’s Glee Club with founder Bert Gulhaugen as director. She still sings with the Met and was part of the Olio Players. She served on as a member of the Fundraising Committee and as Board member 2009-2013, including 2011-2013 as Secretary. In 2021, she served on The Met’s Director Search Committee. Outside of SGC, her day job is research administration at the UW’s Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute. Brenda’s other volunteer experiences have included elementary and middle school PTSAs and High School Boosters.
Dawn Hepburn
Dawn has lived in West Seattle for over 5 years, where she enjoys exploring her passion for playing and sharing music in the community.
Dawn joined the Seattle Metropolitan Singers in 2023. When she isn’t singing or playing her violin, she works from home as a sales analyst. She enjoys live music, long walks, and low tides.
Shelby McPherson
Shelby has been singing her whole life from early days with her family’s karaoke machine to various school choirs to the Mets. She moved to Seattle nine years ago with her husband, Tommy. While she initially moved for the finance job at a tech company, she’s stayed for the beautiful outdoors. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, reading on the beach in Seward Park and skiing.
One of her favorite things about Seattle is folks deep commitment to community and hobbies. She’s excited to support Seattle Glee Clubs as treasurer.
Sandy Hirsch
A member of the Offbeats and former member of the Mets, Sandy brings to the table a lifelong passion for singing and listening to classical, folk and jazz. She started singing in choirs at the age of 8 in school, and has sung in church and community choirs since then. After a fantastic career in the restaurant business supporting her acting career, Sandy went back to university and got her masters in Speech and Hearing Sciences to become a speech-language pathologist. Sandy opened her private practice, Give Voice, in 1995 and has gained an international reputation for working with transgender and gender nonconforming people to help them play their vocal instrument to affirm their gender. Owning and running a business has allowed Sandy to bring myriad organizational as well as networking skills to the SGC board. Her life in theatre, music, restaurants, clinical voice and healthcare in Seattle affords her access to a wide audience network. She is proud to offer whatever is needed to help SGC grow and evolve.
June Little
June was brought up in a very musical family. Before she was adopted my mother was the organist for silent movies at the Pantages Theater. She graduated from Western Washington University in 1956. She was married for 57 to a teacher who was also a jazz musician on the side. She has two daughters and her youngest is a therapist and a member of the Offbeats. “Music is a huge part of my life. I can’t imagine life without it!”
Carole Neice
Carole Neice is a Seattle native and dedicated longtime Seattle Glee Clubs member. She joined the Greenwood Women's Glee Club directed by Burt Gulhaugen in the mid-1990s when it occupied the back of a storefront in her neighborhood. Weathering many changes over the years, Carole continues to sing with The Offbeats Vocal Jazz Ensemble referring to the group as her "church" for the many ways music brings friends, family and community together. She's an experienced board member and active volunteer on the Offbeats Advisory Committee tapping into creative problem-solving skills as well as a strong belief in the SGC mission statement that sharing the joy of music has the power to unify.
